Queer Stability Real Estate

Queer Stability
Building Housing for Queer People

Queer Stability acquires, develops, and stewards real estate to ensure LGBTQ+ people in the South Sound have stable places to live, work, and build community.

Housing is liberation infrastructure.
Intergenerational stewardship of housing assets creates stability.
Permanence creates power.

Our Real Estate Focus

We concentrate on:
  • Property acquisition (commercial and residential)
  • Redevelopment of existing properties
  • Ground-up housing construction
  • Commercial space for queer entrepreneurs
  • Community-serving infrastructure
Our mission is to keep queer people housed, rooted, and more protected from displacement.

Interested in being in physical space with other queer people and allies?

We have multiple pathways to success to be in community with one another. Through Queer Stability we have residential and commercial opportunities available for folks to participate in.  See the forms below based on residential or commercial interest.

Why the Queer Stability Community Hub Matters

For too long, queer spaces have been temporary,
dependent on leases, vulnerable to displacement, and disconnected from long-term ownership.

The Queer Stability Hub changes that.

By acquiring and (re)developing property, we create:
  • Permanence instead of precarity
  • Ownership instead of displacement
  • Opportunity instead of limitation

This is how we build generational stability.

Housing Development
South Tacoma Partnership

Up to 9 Units | Up to 27 Rooms
We are currently developing a South Tacoma partnership that will create:
  • Up to 9 housing units
  • Up to 27 individual rooms
  • Dedicated housing for queer and allied residents in the South Sound
This project is designed to create long-term stability in an area experiencing rapid rent increases and displacement pressure.

Ground-Up Duplex Projects

$525,000-$600,000 Per Build

We are actively developing ground-up duplex homes structured as:
  • 2-unit duplex layout
  • 3 bedrooms per unit
  • 6 bedrooms total per duplex
These homes are intentionally designed for shared queer occupancy, creating community-centered living environments with long-term stability. These are designed for micro-community creation of queer and allied people to live in close proximity to each other.
Each duplex requires approximately $600,000 in construction funding.

We are seeking:
  • Queer and allied for-profit investment partners
  • Nonprofit funding support
  • Mission-aligned lenders
  • Philanthropic capital
  • Corporate sponsors
  • Community development collaborators
Our goal is to create scalable housing models that can be replicated throughout the South Sound and beyond in areas where Queer people do not typically see each other in close proximity to each other.

Commercial Property Acquisition

Housing is one pillar. Economic infrastructure is another.

We are actively seeking commercial properties to house:
  • The Queer Stability Incubator (hybrid / virtual and in-person in Tacoma WA)
  • Queer Stability administrative offices (1305 Tacoma Ave S Suite 320, Tacoma WA98402)
  • Co-working space for queer and allied entrepreneurs (1305 Tacoma Ave S Suite 320, Tacoma WA98402)
  • Large meeting and gathering space
  • The Queer Stability Food Pantry in partnership with The Purpose Fund (1305 Tacoma Ave S Suite 320, Tacoma WA 98402)
  • The Queer Stability Clothing Bank in partnership with Purpose Fund and Chaya Movement (1305 Tacoma Ave S Suite 320, Tacoma WA 98402)

We prioritize:
  • Main street visibility
  • Ground-floor public access
  • Long-term ownership or stable control
  • Mixed-use commercial corridors

Donate Property. Build Stability.

In complex real estate transactions, many times donations can be made of equity in existing portfolios which reduces the direct impact to cash reserves in portfolio management.

Queer Stability accepts:
  • Land donations
  • Residential properties
  • Commercial buildings
  • Estate gifts
  • Asset transfers
  • Below-market property sales

Donating property directly supports:
  • Permanent queer housing
  • Entrepreneurial infrastructure
  • Community food access
  • Clothing distribution
  • Economic stabilization
If you own property and want it to serve queer liberation long-term, we invite you to connect with us.

Why Ownership Matters

When queer communities do not control land and buildings, we remain vulnerable to:
  • Rent spikes
  • Lease non-renewals
  • Political hostility
  • Market volatility
  • Displacement
Ownership changes that.

By acquiring and developing property, Queer Stability creates infrastructure that outlives political cycles and market shifts.

Partner With Us

We are looking for Queer and Ally aligned:
  • Impact investors
  • Developers and contractors
  • Financial institutions
  • Foundations
  • Real estate professionals for donation of time talent and treasure
  • Property owners
  • Corporate sponsors
  • Major donors
Together, we can build housing, commercial hubs, and long-term assets that protect queer people in the South Sound.

The Vision

Imagine:
  • Stable, community-centered housing designed for queer residents
  • A main street queer community hub
  • Co-working space filled with queer entrepreneurs
  • A visible and welcoming food and clothing pantry
  • Long-term assets stewarded for generations

This is not temporary programming.

This is permanent infrastructure.
