Ready to dive into the world of sewing? Join us for a fun, hands-on in-person session where you'll learn all the essentials. Whether you're a total newbie or just brushing up, this is the perfect spot to get comfy with needles, threads, and fabrics. Bring your creativity and let's make something cool together!
If you have a current project you're working on you can bring it in as well! We'd love to see you come through for some sewing time with Queer Stability.
This workshop is hosted by an allied parent who is an avid quilter and sewer with over 50 years of experience.
Parking: Paid parking is available on the street as well as the parking garage attached to the building at 1305 Tacoma Ave S.

Spark some Joy with our Intro to Welding with Queer Stability and Weddermann Architecture
Ready to try something new, creative, and a little bit fiery? Join us for a hands-on Intro to Welding Workshop inside the metal shop at Weddermann Architecture and learn the fundamentals of welding in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Whether you’re an artist, maker, curious beginner, or someone who has always wanted to learn how metalwork happens, this workshop will introduce you to the basics of welding and metal fabrication. You’ll get a chance to step into a real metal shop, learn from experienced guides, and work directly with the tools used to shape steel and build structures.
This workshop is designed for complete beginners, no experience required. By the end of the session, you’ll have a better understanding of welding techniques, safety, and the creative possibilities of working with metal.
What’s Included
Cost: $150 per person
All proceeds support the work of Queer Stability, helping build long-term infrastructure, housing, and economic opportunity for LGBTQ+ communities in the South Puget Sound.
