Queer Stability exists in multiple ways so that we can best support community within Tacoma, Pierce County and Washington State. Chris Brown is a visionary strategist, community builder, and advocate for economic equity whose work bridges the worlds of business, philanthropy, and social impact. As the founder of Queer Stability, Chris is building a bold model for long-term LGBTQ+ liberation — one rooted in ownership, sustainability, and shared prosperity. Through Queer Stability, he’s cultivating a movement that channels collective giving, community investment, and real estate ownership into lasting infrastructure for queer futures.
In addition to leading Queer Stability, Chris is the founder and principal of Chaleur Creative, a Puget Sound–based advisory and creative agency that helps organizations and entrepreneurs grow with integrity and intention. His expertise spans strategic planning, capital campaigns, leadership development, and community-centered business design. Chris brings decades of experience across nonprofit and for-profit sectors, serving on boards and committees such as the LGBTQ Victory Fund, City of Seattle LGBTQ+ Commission, AHAT Homecare, and Fighting for the Majority, as well as contributing to the City of Tacoma’s Equity in Contracting Advisory Committee. A proud Pacific Northwest native, Chris is driven by the belief that stability is liberation, and that by owning our spaces, investing in each other, and redistributing wealth with purpose, the LGBTQ+ community can build a future where we not only survive, but thrive. |
